What You'll Learn

The Masters Tournament
The Masters is always held at the same location: Augusta National Golf Club, a private course in Augusta, Georgia. The course first opened in 1933 and has been modified many times by different architects. The idea for Augusta National originated with Bobby Jones, who wanted to build a golf course after his retirement from the game. After his grand slam in 1930, Jones acquired the former indigo plantation and plant nursery and co-designed Augusta National with course architect Alister MacKenzie. The Masters was originally known as the Augusta National Invitation Tournament when it was first played in 1934. The present name was adopted in 1939.
The tournament has a number of traditions. Since 1949, a green jacket has been awarded to the champion, who must return it to the clubhouse the following year. In most instances, only a first-time and reigning champion may remove their jacket from the club grounds. Another tradition is the Champions Dinner, held on the Tuesday before each Masters and is open only to past champions and certain board members of the Augusta National Golf Club.
Some of the most successful golfers in the Masters include Jack Nicklaus with six wins between 1963 and 1986, Tiger Woods with five wins between 1997 and 2019, and Arnold Palmer with four wins between 1958 and 1964.

PGA Championship
The PGA Championship is one of the four major golf tournaments. The 107th PGA Championship in 2025 was won by Scottie Scheffler, his third major title.
The PGA Championship is a major golf tournament played annually in the United States. It is conducted by the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA of America), which was founded in 1916 and aims to promote interest and participation in the sport nationwide. The PGA Championship is one of four major championships organised by the PGA, alongside the Masters Tournament, the U.S. Open, and The Open Championship. These four tournaments are often referred to as the "Big 4" and are the most prestigious and highly anticipated events in men's golf.
The PGA Championship is traditionally played in May and is the second major of the golf season, following the Masters Tournament. It is a highlight of the golf calendar and attracts a global audience, with fans eagerly anticipating the intense competition and the opportunity to witness golfing excellence. The tournament features a challenging course setup, with narrow fairways, thick rough, and tricky hole locations, pushing the golfers' skills to the limit.
The championship has a rich history, with past winners including some of the greatest names in golf, such as Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy. It has been hosted by various prestigious golf courses across the United States, each offering unique challenges and memorable moments. Over the years, the tournament has seen dramatic finishes, record-breaking performances, and inspiring displays of skill and determination that have left an indelible mark on the sport.
While I cannot confirm the specific channels that broadcast the PGA Championship, I have found that ESPN+ and the Golf Channel are both associated with broadcasting golf tournaments.

U.S. Open
The U.S. Open is one of four golf majors and is a highly anticipated event in the world of golf. The 2025 U.S. Open took place from June 12 to June 15 at the prestigious Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. This year's tournament marked the third of the four major golf championships for men.
For viewers eager to follow the action, the U.S. Open was broadcast across several channels and streaming platforms. Traditional television coverage was provided by NBC and USA Network, with NBC taking the lead for the primary TV broadcasts of the third and final rounds over the weekend. For early risers, USA Network offered an extensive 11-hour telecast of the opening round on Thursday, starting at 6:30 a.m. ET and concluding at 5 p.m. ET. They also provided early coverage for the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Streaming options were also available for those who preferred to watch the tournament online. Peacock, the official website USOpen.com, and the USGA app offered featured group streaming coverage throughout the tournament. Peacock, in particular, provided exclusive online coverage of the U.S. Open, including late coverage of the first round and over seven hours of exclusive coverage of Friday's second round.
For viewers seeking an enhanced viewing experience, DIRECTV offered satellite customers five additional channels of live coverage from Oakmont. This included a simulcast of USA Network or NBC Sports live coverage, along with three extra channels featuring specific golfer groups as they navigated the course each day. Streaming customers via DIRECTV also had the option to follow three featured groups of their choice. Both satellite and streaming customers of DIRECTV could enjoy crystal-clear 4K UHD coverage, provided they had compatible sets and service packages.
The U.S. Open is a significant tournament that attracts the world's top male golfers, and the 2025 edition was no exception. Notable names such as Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, and Bryson DeChambeau were among those to watch, with DeChambeau aiming to become the first back-to-back winner since Brooks Koepka in 2017-2018. The tournament ultimately witnessed a memorable triumph by J.J. Spaun, who clinched the title with a 65-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole, the longest made putt of any player throughout the championship.
