What the Golf? is a physics-based golf game that features a range of challenges that may or may not resemble actual golf. The game has 11 areas, starting at area 10 and counting down. To get a trophy, players must complete the first task in each level, but it is recommended to complete all three parts of each level to make progression easier. There are 57 offline trophies to be won in the base game, with six additional trophies available through free DLC. To collect all terminals and boxes/chests in What the Golf, you'll need to explore the Golf Lab and complete various challenges. Here's a guide to help you collect them all:
Terminals:
There are a total of 17 terminals located around the hub of the game. These terminals give you a message when you hit them, and they are not to be confused with the ones you activate to unlock bosses. The terminals are generally placed in obvious positions, so they aren't too difficult to find. Here are some specific locations to help you:
- In a centre room between two pipes in area 8-A.
- On the right in the room with the green checkered floor in area 8-D.
- In the bottom left of the room to the left after passing the area 8 boss.
- To the right of the bar in area 7-B.

Boxes/Chests:
Most of the boxes/chests can be earned by obtaining all crowns in a subarea, but some are more hidden and require specific actions. Here are the locations and actions needed to obtain them:
- "Livingroom Golf" crown: Get a crown for every flag on the right side of the lab.
- "Golf Game" crown: Obtain a crown for every flag on the bottom left side of the lab.
- "Footgolf" crown: Acquire a crown for every flag on the bottom right side of the lab.
- "Space Golf" crown: Gain a crown for every flag on the upper left side of the lab.
- "Boom Golf" crown: Receive a crown for every flag on the upper right side of the lab.
