Rose Zhang's early life and education
Rose Zhang, born on May 24, 2003, in Arcadia, California, is an American professional golfer. Her parents are Haibin Zhang and Li Cai, and she has a brother named Bill Sida Zhang, who is ten years older. Zhang started golfing at the age of nine when a family friend brought over some golf clubs for her father. She picked up one of the clubs and started swinging in her backyard, hitting the ball flush on her third attempt. Her father then arranged for her to take lessons. Zhang also worked with swing coach George Pinnell from the age of around eleven.
Zhang attended Pacific Academy for high school, where she was twice ranked the world's top amateur female golfer.
